Navigating a life for Christ

I stumble ALOT.

My life verse is Psalms 37:23-24 "If the Lord delights in a man's way, He makes his steps firm. Though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.

It helps to know God can use fools like me.

Critters

Last week end we found lice in Peter's and Christopher's hair. I promise you, I have never found or dealt with lice in my long life, but this explains all the scratching. Ick, big Ick, ick ick ick!!
So Scott got the poison shampoo and I slathered it on their monkey heads, all the while itching myself. Even though I read that you don't have to wash everything, I did.

So it seems to have worked. We go through each other's hair like a bunch of hungry primates. Every time they scratch we have another little look. I just know that the lice are lurking in our couches and carpet, waiting for an unsuspecting head (or hairy toe / leg) to jump on and start a new colony.

The cat has fleas.
Sigh.

It is absolutely embarrassing that I've had lice as many times as I've had them in my lifetime. I have no idea what the number is. Disgusting.

HOWEVER, I'm an expert in louse removal. I'm practically a primate. Wish I could help.

I had lice a bunch as a kid too. It's one of those rites of passages I think. It never really bothered me much, I got to go home from school! I always hated the shampoo, though. It smelled on my head for days. I do believe in washing everything though, even if you don't have too. I think if you do some searching around online you could find solutions for ridding your home of the critters. My mom used to use a spray concoction (of vinegar, I think) and spray the couches and stuff. But all bedding and linens and clothing was washed in hot hot water!
